We aim to serve

As they are at the heart of the modern business, it’s essential that servers operate effectively. Here’s how our server design, build and installation service can help

Servers are key to any modern, successful business so it’s important that you get the right technology to suit your needs. Off-the-shelf servers are satisfactory if you need one that’s suitable for general jobs, but if your requirements are different from the average business then you need a bespoke solution.

At PCWB we can build you a server that fits your business needs and, unlike bespoke tailoring, it won’t take weeks and months to get you what you want.

All you need to do is call PCWB’s team of highly-skilled Configuration Centre engineers, give us the details of your requirements and we will produce the right server specification for you.

We have the latest technology to cope with even the highest specification servers, and new servers are usually supplied as basic units. The technology can include the following features:

Once the specification is agreed, we can then start on the build which, depending on capacity, can be done in as little as a few days. Once the build is complete, we can then install any software you want. While server software installation may seem like a straightforward process, it can take as long, if not longer, than the building of the entire server. It is also important to remember that any errors in software installation may seriously impact your business later on. When your equipment is prepared in the Configuration Centre, you can have your software installed on the hard disk of each individual machine.

After the build and installation, we complete a pre-delivery inspection that ensures the server is fully functional before we despatch it to you. We’ll also produce a report detailing a complete rundown of the specification and components within the machine. The inspection includes:

We don’t just leave you with a server and software – we can also install the server for you and then maintain it 24/7 with our Remote IT Management (RITM) service.

For a fixed monthly fee you have a dedicated team of technical experts at your disposal, offering:

What’s more we solve 95 percent of computer issues in just one hour.

Case study

PC World Business has recently installed a full data centre at Trafford Housing Trust’s new head office. More than 400 desktops and notebooks were refreshed and installed at the same time, under a managed service across the Trust’s 10 sites. The Trust’s data centre consisted of over 30 DL class HP servers, centralised back up and SAN solution for the Trust’s IP telephony solution, Microsoft applications and bespoke business applications.

PC World Business was responsible for full technical design authority, including design of all hardware, the creation of a new Windows architecture and domain structure and installation. The data centre is full supported via our RITM (Remote IT Management) solution.
