Where did it all begin?
Launched in September 1997, off the back of the success of PC World stores, PC World Business was originally a business-to-business direct mail order company specialising in IT products.
In 1999, the ecommerce website (www.pcwb.com) was created allowing businesses to purchase products online. Two years later, PC World Business moved into a brand new £13 million office building in Bury, Lancashire, where the company still resides today.
In the following years, PC World Business expanded with DSGi Business' acquisition of Micro Warehouse in June 2004, and Equanet and MacWarehouse not long after. A partnership with The Tech Guys in September 2006 was the most recent addition to PC World Business' services.
