Next Day Onsite Service
For desktop PCs and notebooks if we are unable to solve your problem over the phone, we offer a next business day on-site service. If we need to repair your desktop or notebook PC at our technical centre we will give you a loan machine (see below).
We offer a next business day service if you call before 4pm and are based in the mainland UK or N.I and within 30 miles of a PC World store. This service is available Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
Loan PC
If we need to take your desktop or notebook PC to our technical centre to be repaired we will provide you with a loan machine. Where possible your hard disk drive will be removed and installed into the loan machine or your data transferred, allowing you to continue with your business as normal. If we are unable to transfer your disk drive or data, the loan machine will be provided with the Windows 98 operating system. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure data is backed up.
Unlimited Free Repairs For Breakdown
For the life of your service agreement we will carry out as many repairs as your product needs, free of charge. If appropriate we may use fully guaranteed refurbished parts. Occasionally, you may have to pay for the repair and claim the cost of the repair from us.
If We Can't Repair It, We Will Replace It
If we can't repair your product, or it takes longer than 6 weeks from the engineer's first inspection, we will replace it with an identical product or one with a similar specification. If we replace your product, your service agreement ends and we will give you vouchers for the remaining value which you can use when you next buy Business PC performance. The replacement may occasionally be a fully-refurbished product.
Software Support
For desktop PCs and notebooks for the life of your Business PC Performance service agreement you will have access to our software support helpline, charged at the national call rate. Many PC problems are software set-up related and our helpline will get you back up and running quickly and efficiently, whether it is installation, configuration or troubleshooting advice you need.
Courier Service
For most projectors, digital camcorders and digital cameras, we offer a next business day pick up service, by courier. This service is available Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). You must call before 10am and live in mainland UK or N.I. and within 30 miles of a PC World store.
Dedicated Business Helpline
Our helpline offers expert technical advice from specialist technicians who are able to fix many problems over the phone. The helpline is open between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). All calls are charged at the national call rate.
Accidental Damage Protection
Unlike most manufacturer's warranties your Business PC Performance will protect your product against accidental damage. You can have unlimited repairs for accidental damage.
Free Annual Healthcheck For Your Desktop Or Notebook
For the life of your Service Agreement we offer a free in-store annual healthcheck at our PC clinics to keep your PC fit, fast and effective. The healthcheck includes a consultation with one of our technicians to assess your business computing needs, and an evaluation of your PCs current capabilities. As part of the service we will carry out a diagnosis of your PCs performance and check for viruses. Our technician will also clean up unnecessary files and make suggestions for good file management.
If your PC would benefit from an upgrade, our experts will help you to choose the most suitable and fit it free of labour charges. The technician will clean your base unit, keyboard and mouse and provide you with a document detailing steps for future maintenance.
PC Upgrade Protection
Your PC will still be protected by Business PC Performance, even if you upgrade it. The upgrade hardware will only be protected if it is supplied and fitted by PC World.
Worldwide Protection
If your product breaks down anywhere in the world, and costs £150 or less to repair (or £400 or less for a notebook), pay for the repair and claim the cost of the repair back from us. If it costs more than £150 to repair (or more than £400 for a notebook) contact Business PC Performance Customer Services in the UK and they will help you get your product repaired or replaced.
Unlimited Instant Replacement
We offer a specialist instant replacement service for products between £17 and £85 ex vat. If a fault develops that is not caused through accidental damage, we will replace the product with an identical or similar product.
Once we have confirmed the fault, we will replace it immediately. We will replace your product as many times as is necessary during the life of your Service Agreement.
