Under EC law I.T. recycling is compulsory. PCs contain CFCs, carcinogenic and toxic heavy metals such as cadmium and lead and so cannot simply be put in a skip or a landfill site as these harmful substances may leach their way into the water supply.

If you have equipment that is coming to the end of its serviceable life, let me dispose of it for you - remember dumping on landfill sites also exposes you to the risk of sensitive data falling into the wrong hands.
